Make your 1957 Chevy more comfortable to drive by installing a new Ididit steering column. Ididit tilt steering columns with no shifter will move the steering wheel back 2" towards the driver. Columns use the common 1969 and up GM wheel adapters.

  • Self-Canceling Turn Signals
  • 4-Way Flashers
  • Billet Knobs and Handles
  • 3-7/8" Wiring Plug
  • 1" DD Lower Shaft
  • Plain steel finish

Wiring adapters for the stock harness are listed along with a floor mount. When using the original steering box, the input shaft will need to be cut and modified into a 3/4" DD.

    This wiring harness adapts the OEM 1957 harness to the aftermarket  Ididit column. The Ididit column uses the flat ribbon plug common to the  later GM columns and should be adaptable to work with the later GM  columns and other aftermarket columns using the GM ribbon style flat  plug in. As always, wiring layout and sequence will need to be verified  for each circuit. 
             
    • Stock o/e harness to an Ididit steering column
    • Chevrolet Passenger 1957
    • For 1969-74 GM column to stock dash
                      Note:  Adapts horn, directionals, hazard flasher to stock dash

    Uses the two original holes in the floor to mount the bracket. The clamp secures the bracket to the column.
    This floor mount is strongly recommended with all Tri-Five Installations.
