Notes

This harness is designed to work on vehicles that have a total of two (three prong) headlights, where each of the two headlights function as both a high and low beam.  If you intend to use this harness on a vehicle that has seperate bulbs for low and high beams (like a 69 Chevelle), modification to this harness is required which is not detailed in the included instruction sheet.

only for certain cars and the clueless

April 05, 2015
I'm saving the kit instead of returning it only because I managed to break a flimsy plastic tab in a misguided attempt to mount the relay using a drill/driver set to too high torque. If you're using on a vehicle that has open access to the rear of the headlights where the prongs on bulb plug into the wire sockets, the kit will work, and requires less understanding of electricity and wiring relays than just using relays and your own wiring system. But for my '40 Ford, with a small hole in inner fender and another small hole in back of headlight bucket the sockets won't pass thru the holes and cutting and splicing are required, creating a potential trouble spot. Additionally, the use of fusible link wire instead of an inline fuse holder is inexcusable, and could be a real headache to find the replacement fusible link and splicing it in versus simply changing a fuse.. No I don't recommend this item.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Got a classic mustang this works great o

September 12, 2014
Hi, I live in London UK and run a Mustang 73 Convertible my headlights were upgraded to H4 halogen and whilst they worked were pretty dim and were sending all that current through the headlamp dash switch which i knew would be a problem eventually. After many searches i stumbled across this Headlamp Relay harness for a really great price. What swung me to buy this was the 'plug n play' nature of the kit and the price especially as i did not want to cut any of the original wiring loom. This kit works perfectly on my single hi/low headlights. To fit all that was required was to attach two wires to the +ve terminal on the battery post then unplug headlamp 3 pin prong and plug new 3pin prong onto headlamp then plug the original 3 pin plug into new harness, and connect a earth cable to chassis, do the same for the other side after working out the best route for the harness cable and attach the two relays and bracket. 'of note' on the second headlamp the original connector is now not used as the current and switching is supplied by the the new harness. I electrically taped up the original now unused headlamp socket to stop water ingress meaning if you ever wanted to revert to original wiring that socket would be as clean as the day you taped it up. John
Pros:
  • super easy cheap and works
Yes, I recommend this product.

Truely painless

This harness could not have been easier to install. Talk about plug and play, to a point that all I needed to supply from my side for a screwdriver, zip ties and a cutter to cut the zip tie excess. Worth the money for not having to build one yourself. My 65 mustang now has halogen headlights.. Brighter than ever before!!!!
Pros:
  • Easy
  • comes with everything
Cons:
  • None
Yes, I recommend this product.

Easy way to rewire your headlights

March 02, 2014
I bought this harness to simplify the headlight wiring on my Model A rat rod. It is made to plug into your existing headlight harness and make your lights brighter, but it works great by itself. I am no wiring guru, but I had very little trouble hooking it up and getting the lights working properly. For my install, I used Speedway's 3 position headlight switch. This isn't necessary if you"re using it as an add on....I was starting from scratch - with no existing wiring. The price was right and the quality was pretty good. I will definitely buy more of these for other projects that I have coming up.
Pros:
  • Great price
  • Good Quality
Yes, I recommend this product.

I don't think you need to alter it at all. Neither this not your factory harness will need any altering. It takes signal off your old headlight sockets and uses that to activate the relays which inturm pull power straight from the battery. The harness comes with fused wires that are detachable via a snap on connector. So if a short happens , easy to replace. Instructions that come with are great.

The harness # 910342630 is for cars with two headlights total that have dual filaments for high and low beams. If you are using on a vehicle with 4 headlights the three female plug in will need to be removed and two of the two terminal plug ins installed. The ground will loop from one plug in to the next and the other two terminals will have the two power leads, one for low and one for high beam.
