What's in the Box

Info

Get superior stopping power with Hawk Performance! Hawk Performance brake pads have been successful in virtually all forms of motorsports for over 16 years. This success helps Hawk Performance enjoy the benefits of the “Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday,” philosophy. Hawk is one of few brake pad manufacturers that can deliver on the promise, “Race Proven – Street Legal.”

Hawk Black Pads:

Medium torque and temperature compound designed to be a good, all-purpose low- cost racing brake pad. Can be used as a Dirt Circle Track and Stock Car application.

Tech Tip:  Only use full metallic pads on coated rotors.

Sold as a set of 4, 1 set will be needed to outfit 2 calipers.

Item Details

Good fade resist at low-medium temps, very long pad/rotor life, good Dirt, mild Asphalt

Notes

Note: Hawk Performance burnishes its High Performance Street brake pads as a final step in the factory, but all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

Due to the dramatic friction levels produced by the HP Plus series to achieve "race-level" braking, rotor wear, noise, dust, and pad life may be affected.

Great left front stock car pad.

March 30, 2016
While a little spendy, these pads work great on the left front of my stock car. Great stopping power and helps the car turn and keep it in the bottom groove.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Hawk Black pads

December 17, 2011
I love these pads. They will eat up your rotors but its a race car not a street car! Run them on the back and stock pads up front to increase bias! I can get 2 seasons on a set of pads and rotors. Approx 45 races.
Yes, I recommend this product.
