Works well for what it designed for, removing or installing a GN hub nut. Can be used to set bearings when installing new ones and then for torquing the hub nut to a desired setting.
This socket works really well. It is deep enough to engage even when the nut is down the threads a fair distance. However, I am not sure that aluminum is the right choice of materials. Perhaps if you are absolutely fastidious in replacing the hub nuts, you will never have a problem, but if the nut has any wear on it, this socket seems to come out on the loosing end. The small, rectangular drive tangs are particularly vulnerable to wear, with the corners being easily rounded off. Overall, this is a good tool and works as advertised, but if you are removing hub nuts on weekly basis, you might want to see if you can find one like it in steel, or buy your hub nuts by the case so you can replace them as soon as they have any marks on them. I'd have given this a 3.5 and maybe for the recommendation if that were available. Since they aren't, I put 3 stars and yes.
Pretty simple!! great buy.

When I was first looking to purchase this tool I was concerned about it being aluminum but it actually holds up pretty well for its purpose.
