Longer design will not allow drive line to move back. Larger O.D. ball allows more clearance for u-joint.  Fits over 3" torque tube. New lightweight design.  4.45 diameter.

 

This torque ball and housing is garage sale priced because it was used on a display and can't be sold as new.
