Sorry I am not able to identify your gears with those numbers. You may want to contact Richmond Gear to identify them from the numbers stamped on them. This gear set is available in a 3.42 ratio and will fit a carrier that was originally equipped with 3.23 or numerically higher gears originally.

You pick the gear ratio in the drop down menu on the right side of your screen. Sorry I do not have a 4.30 gear ratio available. I do have 4.10 and 4.56

How do you tell if you have the series 3 or series 2 carrier? Running a 79 Monte Carlo Street Stock. Has a 10 bolt but don't know if it is a 7.5 or what. Is there a way to tell without tearing it down? Don't want to do that in the middle of race season unless I change gears.

Some of the carriers for the GM 10 bolt are stamped 2 or 3 but not all. If you have a 3.23 or deeper which means higher in number it is a 3 series and if you originally have a 3.08 then it is a 2 series carrier. In this case you will need the spacer.

The GM 7.5" ring and pinion fit a "3" series carrier. These were normally used with a 3:23 or deeper gear ratio. If you are using a "2" series carrier, original 3:08 or taller ratio, you will need to buy the ring gear spacer part #91048305

We apologize for any inconvenience but Speedway cannot be of help on gearing for your 35 Buick. You may want to check with Motive Gear for availability or some of the restoration suppliers such as Mac’s Auto.

Richmond 92-0775-2605 Powertrax GM 7.5 10-Bolt Locking Differential
(Part #91028019)

The 7.5 inch Powertrax Traction System is the latest design in traction adding differential technology. It combines the smooth operation of a limited-slip differential, with the traction performance of a locking differential. A precise synchronization mechanism eliminates the ratcheting sounds typical of other locking differentials. Special gear and spring design reduce the backlash and therefore driveline windup. An ultra-strength alloy material is used throughout, which is 67% stronger than titanium.

Installation is simple because no ring and pinion set-up is required. In addition, no special tools or oils are needed (installs in about one hour). Step by step model specific instructions are provided with every kit.

  • Positive traction - full locker
    • Delivers engine power to both wheels when coming off the line
    • Upgrade and improve your times and your vehicles reputation
  • Smooth quiet operation - fully automatic
  • 7.5 Inch Powertrax Unit
  • Do-it-yourself - installs in about one hour
  • No special tools required
  • Works for both cars and trucks
  • Gives 2-wheel drive trucks the traction power of 4x4's
  • Excellent replacement for Posi trac style lockers
  • No special gear lube required
  • Use 85W-140 in warm climates, 80W-90 in cold climates
