What's in the Box

Info

Looking to put skinnies on the front of your T-bucket? This complete kit mounts two 16" x 3-1/2" chrome spoke wire wheels to '37-'48 Ford car spindles. Wheels look great with a 130/90H-16 motorcycle tire.

Kit includes (2) wheels, (2) billet-style aluminum hub caps, and all necessary bearings and seals.

Notes

  1. We reccommend Michelin Commander 130/90H-16 blackwall tire. This tire has a H speed rating and is 25.8" tall on this rim. It has a load rating of 803 lbs. @ 41 psi., while most other tires are rated at only 675 lbs.
  2. Installation Note:  Prior to wheel cap installation, the inside wheel area where the cap is retained should be cleaned of all grease remnants to allow for the o-ring and silicone film to set up and adhere to insure proper cap installation and retention.  A thin film of clear silicone should be used to coat the o-ring area of the cap to allow it to smoothly install into the wheel.  It should then be allowed to set up for a period of 24 hours prior to wheel use.

The wire wheels only come in 16” and we suggest a motorcycle tire for the width of the wheel. 130/90H-16 is a common size used. Matching the tread pattern of your rear will be difficult. We suggest a motorcycle shop to see what they offer or can get in order to get the design and style you prefer.

These are held on by an O ring and silicone, so they might be difficult to remove depending on how they were installed

That is a good question. You will need to search for a shop that has a balancer that will allow them to balance a spindle mounted wheel or a balancer that is made to balance the entire assembly with the wheel mounted on the vehicle. Sorry we do not know what shops in your area to point you toward. I would call around looking for a shop with an on-vehicle type balancer.
