Answer this question
A:
The reverse eye springs lower the vehicle 1” as compared to a new standard eye spring. When comparing to an old spring that has settled over the years the end result may not be that much. In the cross leaf or Buggy Style spring front ends the spring length is specific to the length needed and user cannot use a different length spring to achieve more drop in the front end. The 31 ¼” spring is normally for 48” wide axles with perch centers of 36 ¼ to 36 ½”. The 29 spring generally works on 46” wide axles with perch centers in the 34 ½” range. Both spring dimensions mentioned are for spring over applications. The 26” spring is generally used on T bucket style front ends with the spring behind the axle.
