Axle Spring Perch

July 07, 2014
The perch mounts are very solid and the finish isn't all too bad either. The coating would have to be media blasted off if a person were to paint them but they fit as they should on my 1933 Ford 4" drop axle front end without any problems at all. I would suggest ordering the tapered nuts to go with them and locking pins which are oddly sold separately.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Good fit and appears to be a quality man

May 22, 2014
I bought these perches to be used with my original 31 front axle and a new reverse eye leaf spring. This perch fit both of them very well and they have a nice look to them. They have a nickle finish on them I believe which would look good unpainted but I am going to blast and paint them with my frame anyhow.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Forged Spring Perches

January 16, 2012
Perches are fine, but the nylock nut is useless. It needs to be tapered like OEM nut. Had to order nuts from other vendor. WHY?
No, I would not recommend this product.

very nice

September 21, 2010
these are very nice, BUT, these need to be beveled on both ends. Only the top is beveled, they need to send 2 beveled washers with this, to make it complete. Other than that, they are nice.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Why is there no key way in the spring perch to match the lower shock mount key way such as part # 910-36105 I purchased a front end kit back in early 2013. I am now working on shocks for my 1932 ford pickup. I called speedway back in mid 2013 when I installed the kit and asked about this issue. The tech told me you weld the two parts together. Ok I'm new to this back then, I dropped the issue. I have learned a lot sense then. It just doesn't make sense to have keyed and not the other.

These spring perches do not always get used with those lower shock mounts, additionally the clocking of the keyway necessary for each application can vary. For those reason there is not a keyway cut into these perches. You can certainly have a machine shop cut the keyway into it for you. Many people will have that done when using with the lower shock mounts such as 91036105. The other option is to weld the shock mount like suggested previously.

Trying to use this on a 2 inch wide spring will not work with these perches because the nylon bushing will not set flat to the perch and brake out the bushings. It doesn’t even work if putting a spacer on each side because the body of the perch needs to take the load this would steel let the shackle teeter and work on the bushings.
