HOW DOES THE SPEEDO CABLE ATTACH WITH THIS KIT? MY T-5 HAS A SPEED SENSOR OUTPUT, NOT A SPEEDO CABLE. DOES YOUR KIT HAVE THE ABILITY TO MOUNT THE ORIGINAL SPEEDO GEAR AT THE DIFFERENTIAL? IF WE HAVE ENOUGH REAL ESTATE ON THE PINION SHAFT, IT COULD BE ADDED, EH? WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS OR SUGGESTIONS?

We apologize but do not have a kit to move the original style Speedometer drive to the input shaft. The only simple solution would be to change to an electronic speedometer.

Model A open driveline kit. How do you drive in the pin and install the set screws, it appears that the hole in the yoke is behind the seal in the housing? Thanks, Ray

The Model A open drive conversion actually comes with a new pinion shaft and on the end by the yoke it is retained by a bolt and large washer on the front of the yoke. The bolt goes into the center of the new pinion shaft and this particular kit does NOT make use of a pin and set screws.

We offer 3 different open drive conversions and our catalog has a misprint on the years covered. Part number 9191105 is for the 6 spline rear ends from ’35-48, 9191106 is for the 10 spline and also for ’35-48, and 9191111 is fro the Model A rear ends. If you enter part number 9191105 on our website and go to the second page by clicking on the photo or wording you can scroll down and see the pdf instruction file in purple print. Click on this for detailed instruction and assembly. The Model A kit also comes with a new 10 spline pinion to justify the increase in price.

I got your kit, but I also asked for instruction when I ordered it. Is there any special tools needed for the installation?

The Model A open drive conversion is considerably different from the later years. It requires no machine work or special tools and includes a new pinion shaft. Instead of pin and set screws it is all bolt together and the included yoke attaches to the new pinion shaft with a big washer and nut.
