What's in the Box

If you are building or updating a T-bucket that has a reversed Corvair steering box, a little chrome may be in order. These beautifully chromed works of art function just as good as they look. Both units feature a strong cast steel case, needle bearings, and precision gears with a 20:1 ratio.

If you have tried to find a good used Corvair steering box, you know that the chances of finding a good one are slim to none. Don't bother! These brand new Corvair steering boxes have already been reversed. Designed for use on traditional steering cars and T-buckets, these boxes are constructed of modern high strength steel and needle bearings to ensure durability, which original boxes just can't offer.

Weld-On Corvair Steering Box Mount, 2 Inch Tall
                        
This universal steel bracket is designed to mount reversed Corvair steering boxes onto a variety of chassis using "traditional" style Ford steering. Works well with T-Buckets. Bracket measures 2" tall from the top of the frame to the steering box mounting surface.

Note: There is a tightening tolerance when installing this mount. All three bolts must be started (threaded partially) into the holes before final tightening/securing of application. If installed with only one bolt tightened at a time, mounting holes will not line up properly.

Speedway Stainless Steel Corvair Pitman Arm, 7 Inch End to End
                        

This is our forged 'new design' Corvair pitman arm. It measures approximately 7" end to end, approximately 5-3/8" from the center of the big hole to the center of the small hole. The arm has a side-to-side offset approximately 1-7/8". The small hole fits an early Ford tie rod end (such as our 910-02909) and it is half tapered from both sides so that the drag link can be mounted from either side.
