These 1978-up GM Metric calipers accept either GM or Lokar type emergency brake cables. The fluid inlets are tapped to accept 7/16-20 banjo fittings. Includes the bracket to attach the emergency brake cable, slider bolts, and brake pads.

The bleeder hole is 10mm x 1.5. If speed bleeders are needed, use our part number 6173958. Mount bolt spacing is 5.45".

                                                        Replace those old drum brakes with modern rear disc brakes. This affordable rear disc brake kit conversion gives you an emergency brake just like your family car has. The steel caliper bracket welds to your 3" axle tube, so it will fit virtually any application. The calipers accept either GM or Lokar type E-brake cables and are tapped to accept the common 7/16"- 20 banjo fittings. The 11-3/4" x .81" vented iron rotors will give you plenty of stopping power. 
    Steel rotor hat fits 5 on 4-1/2", 5 on 4-3/4", and 5 on 5" bolt patterns and has a 3" backspace.

    Cables are designed for use with Lokar Floor Mount & Under Dash Mount Emergency Hand Brakes. Kit comes equipped with quality one-piece aluminum adjusters and aluminum ferrule to eliminate fraying of stainless housing. Outer housing is designed with specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable. Stainless inner cable resists moisture. 
    Design allows rear end backing plate fittings to be removed without removing brake cables. Lokar cables also feature adjustable cable lock and clevis. Kit is complete with cable bracket and spacers. Kit includes two 8 foot black outer housings that “U-Cut-to-Fit".
