This complete disc brake kit easily installs big 11-3/4" rotors on your 1937-1948 Ford car or 1937-1947 Ford 1/2 ton pickup spindles while retaining the original 5 on 5-1/2" bolt circle.

This kit will work with spindles having either original steering arms or with flat steel steering arms. It will NOT work with forged aftermarket steering arms. Wheels must have 3-7/16" center hole and have been designed for disc brake applications. Will NOT work with early Ford factory wire or steel drum brake wheels. You will need to use a later disc brake steel wheel or aftermarket wheel.

  1. This kit is NOT compatible with early style 5 x 5-1/2" drum brake wheels. Wheels being used must be disc brake compatible.
  2. Kit does not include washers or spindle nuts.

It Actually Fit (almost)

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This kit is not for the novice. The spindle should come off as the inner spindle adapter is a press fit. Additionally the outer bearing race must be driven out and replaced (another press fit. Finally the grease seal for the inner should be pressed in. My project is a '37 pickup (original Ford) and I did need to add some additional washer spacers to get the inner brake pad to clear. These are huge pistons, so there should be massive stopping power, but the little master cylinder on my truck is probably not enough volume. Looks like they have a deal on master cylinders too.

This was a great kit for my custom application. I was even able to get my forged steering arm to work with some slight modification.
