Great quality and plenty of material to work with

August 22, 2016
Purchased this product to build my first set of headers. looked at Jegs/Summit and their J bends didn't have the L bend on the end and these were $7 cheaper. Headers turned out great. More tubing, cheaper, great product, what's not to like!!
Pros:
  • Lots Of Material
Cons:
  • None
Yes, I recommend this product.

Info about coating on exhaust pipe I'm about to build my exhaust system & had a few questions about the dark color coating on the tubing: 1) Is it a weld through coating? 2) Will it hold up to exhaust heat if I don't remove it? 3) If I want to remove the coating, what's the best method? Thanks in advance.

The dark color you see is what is called scale in the steel industry. It is a byproduct of the process of making steel. The very thin scale on this tubing will not impede welding and it will not resist oxidation (rust formation). You will need to paint or apply some sort of protective coating if you do not want the exhaust to rust.
