What's in the Box

Info

These oval track racing A-arms are 40% stronger than the stock stamped steel arms. The A-arms bolt to your stock mounts and accept stock ball joints. These control arms have a 1/4" thick steel plate where the ball joint bolts in. Fits 1978-87 mid-size GM Metric chassis.

  • 4130 chromoly steel construction
  • Aluminum cross shaft
  • Bolts to stock 1978-87 Metric mounts (6-7/8" center-to-center)
  • Greaseable steel bushings
  • Accepts stock K5208 style Metric ball joints
  • Available for right (passenger side) or left (drivers side)
  • Right arm length is 8"
  • Left arm length is 8.5"

Use with mount plate 916-34312.

Notes

When using on a drag race or S-10 application, consider using RH arm for both sides as both will be 8" long; arm can just be flipped over for LH side (RH arm is 8").

Worked great on my s10 street rod projec

October 29, 2014
I ordered these control arms as replacements for the original ones that were rusted through and they worked just fine. The tubular design looks great and gave more clearance for exhaust manifold on the left side. They cleared the spring bucket on the chassis just fine and would look great with an open engine concept hot rod. The shafts are fully greasable also.
Pros:
  • look great and greasabe shaft.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Yes you would need two right side arms. These are designed for circle track use and do not have any bushings at the pivot point. They can be a little noisy for street use and once pivot is worn they will need replaced.

You will need to check with your tech inspector on their interpretation of "stock replacement." These do bolt to the stock upper control arm mounts of a '78 to '88 G body car.

Will these fit a 1992 S10 Blazer that has 2" lifted Springs? I would like to make sure before I make a purchase. I seen two other customers purchased 2 Right Upper control arms to balance the camber angle, is there any issue with this or should I stick with getting a Right and Left Control Arm.... THanks!

These control arms number 91031133 stem for circle track racing and if used on a street or drag vehicle two rights would be suggested in order to get proper steering alignment and geometry.

These control arms stem from circle track racing and designed for oval track camber reguirements. The left arm is 8.5” from center of cross shaft to center of ball joint as compared to the right arm being 8” from same points. This allows for greater camber variance from left to right. With enough adjustment correct camber alignment may be obtained but other steering geometry problems may exist. The arms are also not DOT approved. Compare to dimensions of your stock arms before ordering and you also may need the ball joints number 91720045.

Thanks for looking into our products here, the arms you are looking at are for offroad use only, we use them in circle track racing applications and are not suited for drag or street use as there is no bushings on the control arms its just metal to metal.

A tall ball joint is not required with these control arms but you can certainly use one if you wish. We offer ball joint 106200322LF which is 1/2" taller than stock and is a bolt on upgrade.

We manufacture these with the intention to be used on circle track race cars. They are not intended as a stock replacement or for street use, however some people do use them in that scenario. Alignment could be an issue. The LH version is longer at 8.5" and may require more shims but gives more ability to adjust the alignment. The LH can be used on the right side by flipping it over. We use shorter right sides on circle track cars for the drastically different alignment that we run.
