tube axle fit

September 13, 2013
used to muscle car parts that bolt right up. was suprised at little mods that needed to be made. Kingpin area had to be durred some to fit. Also tube axle used set screw to hold kingpin. Kingpin set is universal for regular axle or tube, so notch in kingpin doesn't line up in the set screw application, had to grind up to make a flat area.
Yes, I recommend this product.

We apologize but do not offer a coil over front axle kit similar to this. To build something similar you would order the axle and four bar components along with coil over mount supports number 91636011, coil overs of choice, and depending on frame width a longer panhard bar such as number 91049801. It would take some fabrication and modifications to make it all work together but for now that is the only way to get it done.

The biggest difference is the brake kits for the spindles. With the Chevy spindles we offer a small 9 1/4" brake rotor where the Ford spindle brake kits use an 11" rotor. Some people prefer the smaller rotor and brake system for a car with an exposed front end such as a T bucket. For larger, heavier cars the 11" rotor with the Ford spindles give better braking performance.

Distance between 4-bars Hi, Please tell me the measurement between the 2 hole centres (centre to centre) on the bat wings. I need this to determine the measurement between the 4 bar tube centres when they are parallel. Thank you.

The 4 bars in this kit are adjustable from 32 5/8" to 33 5/8" center to center. The ends are 1 3/8" wide and have 1/2" ID for mounting to the frame side. The other end of the bars are 3/8" ID to match the axle.

I just purchased this axle kit. When installing it should the mounting holes for the radius rods on the axle be at a perfect 90 degrees to the frame and ground? If so, does this give the proper caster? How far into the radius rods should the ends be threa

Part number 91339024 The axle needs to have 5-7 degrees positive castor which is lean back at the top of the kingpin boss. With the ends threaded at least halfway into the tubes mock up the front end with 5-7 degrees, keeping the four bar tubes parallel with the ground at ride height, locate the rear mounts in the appropriate location. We like to see ¾ of the threads into the tubes if possible. You need to compensate for rake angle on the frame and spring compression when mocking up the front end.
