Rotating assembly for your small block Chevy 305. Designed for use with Sprint Car racing applications (Racesaver 305), this kit comes with crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, rings, and all bearings necessary.

Kit Includes:

  • Callies SAF113-CM Compstar S/B Chevy 4340 Forged Crankshaft, 5.7 Rod
    • Material is precisely located to yield the greatest advantage in terms of both strength to weight, and balance ability
    • Properly placed counterweights to improve balance and reduce bearing loads
    • Rough machined forgings in a process that includes double stress relief operations that make these crankshafts very dimensionally stable
    • Hardened with a deep nitride, Compstar cranks are ideal for all types of abusive racing environments
    • All rod journals are drilled and counterweights are profiled for piston clearance
    • With a consistent grind and polish, along with precise stroke and index, you will see why we say these crankshafts are Compstar correct
  • MAHLE Small Block Chevy 305 PowerPak Pistons

Notes

  1. Phosphate coating provides the grey appearance to the Mahle piston. This dry lubricant coating (not to be confused with a thermal film coating) provides a lubricant film in the pin bores and ring grooves until the oiling system of the engine reaches operating pressure; particularly useful during the initial start-up or break-in of engines to protect against galling and microwelding. The piston crown is still machineable.
  2. The location to measure piston-to-wall clearance for each application. This point is calculated from the bottom of the piston skirt and indicates the widest part of the piston and thus where to measure.
