I have two of these mounted on my rat-rod truck. The only problem I had was the cap does not vent. Drilled a small hole in the cap, works fine.
Yes, I recommend this product.

You get what you pay for.

The product arrived with a finish not looking anything like what the picture leads you to believe. The plastic embossed surface was rough, inconsistent, and the mold flashing looked horrible. I took sandpaper and sanded it first with 60 grit then worked my way up to 220 and then hit it with some flat black spray paint meant for plastic. After about 3 hours of work it turned out pretty good. Well, good enough for a grunge or rat rod anyway.
Pros:
  • Low Cost
Yes, I recommend this product.

Can the mounting straps be relocated along the length of the tank? I plan to mount this under my frame rails. Inverting the straps and being able to slide them would make it easy to adapt to my application. I'm using a lengthened t chassis and plan to mount under the frame in the rear.

The only straps that I offer to fit this tank are the straps shown on it. You can be slide them closer together if needed. If you are after some other strap configuration you will need to fabricate them.

Poly tank number 91076210 does not have provision for a fuel level sender and currently Speedway does not offer the required sender. You may want to check with gauge manufacturers for availability of a sender that would mount on the vertical end and allow to be immersed in fuel continuously.

For the round tanks there is NOT an adapter that can be attached to the existing neck or attached to the tank itself for a remote fill application. What you may consider is part number 91076050 for the cell, 91676549 for the tank neck, 91012521 or 6179040 for the cap neck, and then the necessary length of 1 ½” hose.

This is a plastic tank so adding another outlet without having a leak may be tough. We would suggest looking at the aluminum tanks such as 91076257 and having another bung welded into the bottom of it.
