No specs listed on micron rating. These filters flow excellent, so I'm using a 10" in between my Aeromotive pump and the tank. The mesh is def fine enough to work with carbs, but might let some stuff through that would plug fuel injectors. If running FI, then I would use a second filter at the manifold. These are ideally made for 0 restriction flow to your pump.

The stainless steel element in this filter is a 45 micron.

This is an awesome filter. I believe it would hold 100+psi, but if your pressure is this high then you're running fuel injection, right? I don't know if the mesh is fine enough to get rid of particles small enough to work with FI. The spring loaded design may allow some crud to escape around the edges. This is really a pre-filter for FI apps.

Yes, it is used commonly on mechanical fuel injected engines.

Sorry we do not have any experience using this filter with diesel fuel. There is a possibility that the fuel could soften the resin that holds the filter element together. Sorry there is not a flow rating on this filter but they flow enough fuel to supply over a thousand horsepower methanol engines so I wouldn't think you would have an issue in that regard.
