What's in the Box

Info

Bilsteins street rod shocks are considered by many to be the best money can buy. By using a monotube design, the piston diameter can be larger and reacts better to changing road conditions.

The shocks are also correctly valved for the rear of your car to give you the most comfortable ride in a non-adjustable shock. Has 5/8" I.D. mounting eyes.

Kit includes: One Bilstein rear coilover and a QA1 spring (several spring rates available).

11.92" Mounted Length

Notes

  1. For coilover # 2131325-RATE, the 275 lb. spring is no longer available.

The answer I am going to give below will be based on the 13.4” mounted length shock which uses a 10” spring. If you choose the shorter shock , the rates will be heavier and listed last. These are approximations only and are not concrete recommendations. They will be in the “ball park”. The longer shocks will yield a better riding vehicle vs the shorter. 13.4” mounted length: roadster: 200 lbs, coupe 225 lbs, sedan 250 lbs. 11.9” mounted length: roadster,325 lbs, coupe 350 lbs, sedan 375 lbs.

This some times is a loaded question, is this a fiberglass car or steel? How tall of a tire are we running? How much clearances or movement do we have before bottoming out? And how much weight are we looking at in the rear because of gas tank location and battery? There are just too many questions that we need to know before giving an answer. Please call and ask to speak with a tech for your specific application.
