Answer this question
A:
If your mirror currently has the slug or adapter glued to the glass then you have a good shot that by simply loosening the set screw or spring clip the mirror will come off and you can release the slug from the new mirror, slide it in place, and tighten the set screw. If the mirror you currently have is not attached then you need to take great care in removing it. It is very easy if the glue is of high quality that you can actually crack the glass removing it. Start with a single edge razor blade and with lengthy patience work around the mirror mount repeatedly until loosened. With some success I have seen customers take a rigid bladed putty knife and a quick rap with a hammer but you are gambling on damage to the glass. Best recourse would be to take the vehicle to a glass shop for the mirror removal.
