Rodders and racers are known for wedging big engines into small spaces, so these big-block Chevy tight-fit headers are designed for applications where space is limited. They offer great flow in a compact package and will fit where many other headers won’t.
Available in plain steel or our durable and protective Armor Hot Ceramic Coating.
Header Dimesnions (GIF)
Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained). If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300¢ª F.

These tight fit headers are the answer for many big block applications but when ordering some basic ahead of time dimension checks will help verify fit. In the case of later years of pickups the collector may be directly in line with the center cross member creating clearance issues for the collector reducer and the extending pipes. Below are some helpful dimensions and diagram of how to measure for clearance. One additional dimension is collector to the block which is approximately 1”. Width of header at widest point from exhaust port - 4-1/2" Height of header from top of flange to lowest point - 12-1/4" Length of header from front of flange to collector - 10"
