What's in the Box

It doesnt get any simpler than this! Our most basic T-bucket frame is engineered for a simple and economical coil spring rear suspension with traditional-style radius rods. The front suspension is our time-tested transverse-leaf, spring-behind-axle setup with hairpin-style radius rods. Designed for the do-it-yourselfer, this frame has no front shock mounts - you can fabricate your own or choose from those offered by Speedway!

Shown with optional rearend and engine mounts installed. This part number does not include a rear axle housing or engine/transmission mounts (as pictured). If you wish to add these items to your chassis, simply purchase these items along with your frame kit. 

All of our T kits are also available with chrome suspension.  This option includes chrome plated: front and rear hairpins, rear coilovers, front axle, front leaf spring, front shocks, steering arms, tie rod, drag link, and related hardware.

Our standard T bucket frames are more commonly used on small block applications but many customers have installed just about everything including the big block Mopar engines. You will need to verify the length requirement between the firewall and the radiator and in many cases the frame will require some stretching to allow ample room.

This manual shows you how to assemble one of our 1923 T-bucket or 1927 T Roadster kits. It's full of photos and step-by-step instructions to clearly illustrate the assembly process. Manual now includes chapters on installing the engine and drivetrain, preparing and intalling the body, windshield, wiring, and even how to install upholstery.

If you're considering a T-bucket purchase, you can purchase this manual first to see what it takes to build it yourself. The manual's price is fully refundable with the purchase of a 1923 or 1927 T kit.

NOTE:    This manual provides detailed examples on the assembly of a traditional T-bucket.  The manual does not provide in detail the assembly of our Tribute-T, but can be used as a generic reference to cover basic concepts.

This all-new 9" Ford housing features big bearing ends (bearings included) and lifetime warranty 31-spline axles with dual bolt patterns (5 x 4.5" and 5 x 4.75"). Center section NOT included.

Note: When this item is ordered with a T-Bucket frame kit, the housing will be shipped with all necessary suspension brackets welded to it, according to the chassis you order.

This T frame kit option includes tubular engine and transmission crossmembers welded into a '23 or '27 T-Bucket frame. Will accept S/B Chevy engine and TH-350 or TH-400 transmissions.

Note: When ordering this option with a T-Bucket frame kit, the frame will be shipped with these crossmembers welded to it.  As such, this engine/transmission crossmember option must be ordered with a T frame kit.   This is not available separate of a T frame kit.

Small Block Ford and C4 Auto Trans Mount Option for T Frame Kit

This T-frame option will include tubular engine and transmission crossmembers welded into your '23 or '27 T-Bucket chassis. Will accept S/B Ford engine and C-4 transmission only.

Note: When ordering this option with a T-Bucket frame kit, the frame will be shipped with these crossmembers welded to it.  As such, this engine/transmission crossmember option must be ordered with a T Frame kit. This is not available separate of a T frame kit.

  • When this item is ordered with a T-Bucket frame kit, the frame will be shipped with these crossmembers welded to it.  
  • Due to clearance issue with the Vega steering box, you will need to either remote mount the oil filter or make use of the 90 degree oil filter adaptor # 910-6880.
