Not sure if this pad could be used on a drive axle. Trying to put Blazer running gear under a 49 Chevrolet Panel.

This axle pad is for 2” diameter front axle tubes and for drive axles we would suggest an axle pad such as number 54585090 and used in conjunction with a spring plate such as number 91643510 or 91043308 and the U-bolts in the necessary length such as number 91043801 depending on the height of your leaf springs.

Plain U-Bolts, 1-3/4 Inch
(Part #91633011)

These rugged 7/16" zinc plated U-bolts will securely attach the front or rear spring to the crossmember. Apply an anti-seize compound to ensure that the threads are not damaged upon assembly.

For use with 1-3/4" wide springs.

Chrome Plated U-Bolts
(Part #91633009)

These chrome plated U-bolts will keep your front or rear suspension looking sharp for years.

Note: Threaded items which are chrome plated will have a build-up of chrome in threads. You must run a tap or die over those threads and apply an anti-seize compound or the parts will be damaged upon assembly.
