Gauge Pegging Out I finally got around to installing my oil pressure sending unit and hooking up the oil pressure gauge (designer black) all new and the gauge went straight to pegging out at max. Im using the same ground and ignition as my other gauges which are working. Would this be a gauge or sending unit problem?

If the gauge and sender are wired up correctly then there may be an issue with the sender or the gauge. Verify that you have it wired correctly. Here is a copy of the instructions: http://static.speedwaymotors.com/pdf/182-1427.pdf

I just ordered a electric oil pressure gauge to replace my mechanical one. There is not space to install the sending unit into the block. Can it be mounted remotely and use the tubing that is currently in the block that went to the mechanical gauge and ho

Part # 1822242 In limited space applications it may be possible to plumb a line from the port to the electric sender. Size drop to the line and then to the sender will not net an accurate pressure reading at the gauge but you will be able to verify oil pressure. This is a grounding type sender so if you run plastic line it will NOT function. On some engines there is more than one place to pick up an oil pressure reading. By the distributor or on the oil filter housing are a couple of options.
