What's in the Box

If you are going to spend the time and money to build the flathead of your dreams, you just as well spring for Arias forged pistons. Arias forgings work great with nitrous and up to 10 psi on blown engines. They come as a set of eight and include wrist pins, locks and piston rings. They are a three ring design and work with the stock 7" rod length. Stock flathead bore size was 3.188"

Each piston set includes:

  • (8) Forged Aluminum Pistons
  • (8) Wrist Pins w/ Locks
  • (8) Cast Ring Sets

Sorry these are only offered in 3.248", 3.313", and 3.375" bore sizes.

The compression height of this piston is 1.436" which is measured from the center of the pin to the outer edge of the piston. The center of the piston is domed up .187".

The piston clearance is built into the pistons. Typically a finished bore size of 3.3750" will be used, however for your supercharged application you may want to add .0005" to .0010" to the "normal" piston to wall clearance that is built into the pistons. Before you hone your block it is absolutely imperative that you have the pistons for the machinist to measure so that exact sizes can be established and the proper piston to wall clearance set. The piston set will come with a list of applications and the suggested piston to wall clearance.
