Coilovers

May 05, 2016
Excellent quality, installed on a 23 T-bucket, I found the 115lb spring rate to be a bit soft but that was my fault for not researching better what I needed.
Yes, I recommend this product.

These Pro coil over shocks have a desired mount length of 13.1” and when all mounted and the weight on the shock ready to drive the adjuster rings should be about 1/4 to 1/3 up the threads to maintain the desired mount length. Spring rate of 115-140 is generally the range for the T-buckets as you need to allow for weight transfer during acceleration.

I purchased these coilovers and they appeared to be too soft, but then I noticed the spring might not be the right length for this shock. In the picture it is the full length of the shock but the one I purchased has a 10" spring which is 2" short and has to be adjusted up a long way to start compressing the spring. What is the uncompressed length of the spring supposed to be?

The free length of the spring is supposed to be 10". The photo is most likely a different length assembley used as a file photo from Pro Shocks. If you do have to light of spring weight the car, measure the angle of the assembly when installed, and the installed length and we can help pick the correct spring rate for your application.
