What's in the Box

Info

Where else can you buy aluminum fuel line in the size and length you need? This easy-to-flare and bend tubing works great as AN hard line and will save weight and money.

  • Use with tube nut couplers, sleeves and 37° flared AN fittings
  • Rated to 250 psi
  • Not recommended for high pressure (brake) applications
  • Available in 10 ft., 20 ft., or 30 ft. coils

Learn more about flaring hard line and how to select proper automotive fittings by reading our tech article, The Principles of Automotive Fittings.

Notes

The main issue when dealing with aluminum tubing (or any aluminum for that matter) is that it “work hardens” when it flexes, which can lead to cracks. It is important that the hard line is isolated from vibration and movement.

Clamp the tubing securely with rubber coated clamps (Adel clamps) and use bulkhead fittings where the tubing attaches to the flex line. Never run the tubing directly to the engine without a flexible hose section. If installed properly, aluminum tubing is safe and durable.

Old fashioned service, quality product.

April 12, 2016
Used the tubing to make an oil return line on a horizontally opposed air-cooled engine. Req'd some complicated compound bending and a flared end and the tubing didn't work harden appreciably. Ordered and it was shipped the same day and rec'd the next...no excuses. Nobody beats that!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Part # 91011429 This aluminum fuel line will handle up to 250 psi which is more than sufficient for your natural gas application and should work fine. It can be 37 degree flared or used with the standard compression fittings.

we have run aluminum 3/8 line on race trk producing 800+hp 120 psi fp feeding a tunnel ram it has always met our expectations

This aluminum line is OK up to 250 psi so your 120 psi requirement is well covered. We recommend the 37 degree flare with the appropriate tube nuts and sleeves for a secure fitting at the higher pressures. The aluminum line is NOT recommended for high pressure applications such as brake lines where pressures as high as 1200-1400 psi are common. In those cases a steel or stainless line is recommended.

I wanted to make sure this supports 250psi, I read other places that aluminum is good for only up to 25 psi.

As long as you're running a carb, not fuel injection,no fitting will be needed.I ran this line from the tank all the way to the fuel pump on a 289ci with a short piece of flex line at each end and a hose clamp. No leaks ,no problems. I know you can get a lot of misinformation on the internet, but I,ve been building street rods for over 40 yrs.

Jason
I would not clamp hose to aluminum line, there is no barbs to help hose from slipping off. I would use 61763921 and then part #1061222.
