These have been used on street vehicles before but we do not recommend it especially if noise and ride quality are concerns. The steel on steel heim joints will be a little noisy when the suspension moves (squeaks) as well as they wear quickly and require regular cleaning/lubrication when driven quite often. They also transfer more road vibration into the car than a bushing type control arm. As long as you are ok with those points then you could use these on a street vehicle.
