Will the showing steering wheel fit a pacesetter skylark, roughly 1955. The steering shaft on my pedal car comes out from the front then curves down at an angle. Appears that the steering wheel, on your add may fit. Do you have any other parts for this model, i.e. pedals and the links from the pedals to the rear axle, also the windshield. Thanks/

This steering wheel is suitable for all the late 1950s BMC and AMF cars up to 1968. They are especially made for the steering shaft that has a “dogleg” bend about 3 inches from the top. The dogleg bend becomes the 3rd spoke of the steering wheel. The foot pedals for that model will be our 91805227. We call the links from the pedals to the rear axle “Pedal Straps”. The pedal strap part number for this model is 91804226. The metal windshield for that model is our 91804238 but that item has been discontinued because we are no longer have a manufacturer for it.

Thanks for your interest in our product line! We do not offer the 100% correct steering wheel for the Studebaker pedal car. I do not know of anyone making the correct steering wheel for that car. The most suitable models we offer would be our 918-04208 or 918-00208 steering wheels. These fit onto a 3/8” diameter steering column and are held in place with a #10 machine screw that goes through a cross-hole about ¾” down from the top of the column. Please consider these options and let us know if you wish to place an order. Thank you for choosing Blue Diamond Classics®! A Division of Speedway Motors Inc.

Would it fit a 1957 Studabaker Jetway from MTD? Shaft size is about 5/8" & has a hole drilled for a bolt. Is it solid steel or plastic?

The Early AMF steering wheel is steel and is intended for a 3/8” diameter steering column. Also, the shaft of the steering column needs to have a “dogleg” bend near the top to become the third spoke of the steering wheel. This steering wheel would not be very “stable” without the third spoke. I suggest that you have the last 1” of your steering column turned down to 3/8” and then install our 918-04208 steering wheel. This wheel has a generic “S” stamped in it and is secured with a cross-bolt through the steering shaft. Since it is made of metal you can easily paint it to suit any color combination your car may have. If you turn down the shaft of your steering column you could install the later, AMF steering wheel (such as the 918-00208) as well. These are a 2-spoke, plastic wheel that attaches with a cross-bolt at the steering wheel base. Please consider this information and let us know if you wish to place an order or if you have additional questions.
