Warranties

Afcoil springs are manufactured using the finest spring material available. They are designed for extended life and consistent performance. They are guaranteed to do the job for which they are designed for as long as they are owned by the original purchaser.

AFCO will replace any Afcoil spring that ever exceeds the maximum allowable 2% loss of free height from original nominal specification. One way freight is included.

  1. Guarantee applies to original retail purchaser only.
  2. Damaged springs not covered by warranty.
  3. Spring must be returned to AFCO freight prepaid along with a copy of the original invoice.
  4. No other warranty, either expressed or implied, applies to Afcoil springs.
(Warranty not valid without invoice.)

just wondering why the spring rates on the longer springs are much lower ratings than the shorter units? I want these to hold up the back of a model-t coupe. rear of car is approx 1000 lbs. sprung weight. Shocks mounted at 20 degrees. Thanks, Mike Kidd

Part # 1061370 The longer the shock, stroke, and spring length the lighter the spring rate required to handle the same vehicle weight. Mount length is the most critical area of concern as 50-60% of the shock stroke needs to be available for compression during suspension travel. This mount length is for a completed rod ready to hop in and head down the road. With the 14” spring used on this shock a suggested rate would be 110 pound and mount length needs to be 16.5” to 17”. This would be for a vehicle with 1000-1100 pounds on the rear and total weight around 2000 pounds.
