mating flange I am trying to modify and use the original steering column and have a mustang II power rack and pinion. I need to use this bearing at the end of the steering column cover and shaft as a end bearing support. How can I mount it? Don't I need a mating flange that is welded onto the steering column cover ?

Yes you may need to build or fabricate a bracket to bolt this to. Sorry we do not offer such an item. These support bearings are used in all kinds of custom fabrication of steering shaft and steering columns and could very well be useful to you.

No this bearing support is typically not able to be used on the end of a steering column to support the column. This is typically used when a 3/4" shaft passes through a firewall and is able to support the shaft. You should use a steering column support such as 4464030 or others as needed for your steering column OD and firewall configuration.
