Great concept poor design

October 01, 2012
Great concept but poor design. Works as long as you want to jack bolt in a clockwise (tightening direction) When you go to turn it in a counter clockwise direction (loosenting direction) the jack bolt unscrews from pad. No matter how much you take it apart and try to tighten jam nut it always finds a way to unscrew from the plate. If you get this product I would weld the jam nut to the plate and the jack screw to the jam nut so it will not come loose when turning in a counterclockwise direction.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Since this swivler weight jack will pivot it doesn't work well for larger springs that fit loosely around the spring cup. To do it right you would need to add a spacer around the center portion of the spring cup to keep the spring centered.
