What's in the Box

Info

AFCO has been in the racing shock business for over 20 years and has incorporated their technological knowledge into this K-Series street/strip shock. These 40/60 split percentage rear shocks allow the rear to squat which improves traction through weight transfer.

These split-valve shocks offer additional tuning capabilities over the standard valving.

Available Split Valves - Part # 1061035 is a 3 compression/5 rebound split valve shock for rear applications.  Soft compression accents weight transfer.  In circle track applications, used on the left rear, this shock tends to tighten corner exit handling.  Used on the right rear, this shock tends to tighten corner entry handling.

Much more than a circle track shock

July 28, 2015
We bought these to use in the full length 24 Hours of Lemons race at Autobahn Raceway. We spoke directly with Afco first and told them what we were doing and what our corner weights were. Based on our application they recommended these shocks for the solid rear axle. Afco gives thier distributors a cost advantage so it was less expensive to order from Speedway than right from the factory. We custom mounted them in a 2003 Ford Ranger. These came with new bolt on mounting hardware for the lower eyelet which made fabrication of new mounting locations much easier. Not overly racy looking so we didn't get dinged for having performance parts and we didn't notice any fading or leaking over a full 24 hour race. They performed well and kept us at the front of the pack. Well worth the cost!
Pros:
  • Cost
  • Mounting Hardware
  • Build Quality
Yes, I recommend this product.

Instant Improvement

September 11, 2010
We put these shocks on the rear of our 1986 Monte Carlo Pure Stock and saw an instant improvement. The car had some struggles staying in the top 10 and the first night out with these shocks we picked up a 2nd place finish in the heat, and a 5th place in the feature.
Pros:
  • Smooth transition
Yes, I recommend this product.

Yes the 1022 front and 1035 rear shocks will help promote front to rear weight transfer when picking up the throttle.
