Q & A

What's in the Box

Whatever your street stock choice, AFCO has the stock mount shock for you.  These K-Series gas pressure shocks are built with the valving you need for racing, but are assembled in a "stock" configuration body to meet most track rules.  The split-valve shocks offer additional tuning capabilities over the standard valving.

Available Split Valves - Part # 1061022 is a "split valve - easy up" shock used on the front to promote weight transfer under acceleration.  This will enhance forward traction.

AFCO K-Series shocks are built to the highest quality standards and will deliver the control you need to keep your tires planted and your horsepower working for you.

Held up well for endurance race

July 28, 2015
We bought these to use in the full length 24 Hours of Lemons race at Autobahn Raceway. We spoke directly with Afco first and told them what we were doing and what our corner weights were. Based on our application they recommended these shocks. Afco gives thier distributors a cost advantage so it was less expensive to order from Speedway than right from the factory. We custom mounted them in the front of a '03 Ford Ranger. The old bottom mounts needed to be pressed in but they fit great. Not overly racy looking so we didn't get dinged for having performance parts and we didn't notice any fading or leaking over a full 24 hour race. Well worth the cost!
Pros:
  • In stock
  • Fast delivery
  • Mounting Hardware
Yes, I recommend this product.

The first number is compression and the second is rebound. Please call and speak with a tech to help with your specific application on valving.

(Part #106252)

There's a lot riding on your springs-literally. Springs are your car's connection to the ground, and their performance is directly related to all other suspension components. Inconsistent, weak springs can cause a multitude of handling problems , and, in some cases, dangerous situations. When it comes to choosing coil springs, there are many alternatives, but if you want the best you can get, the choice is clear: CHOOSE AFCOILS.

All AFCOILS carry a lifetime warranty to remain within 2% of the original nominal free height. Choose your rate.

Fits 1973 Chevelle/Malibu; 1973-1988 Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal, Grand Prix; and 1970-1992 Camaro.

  • Coil spring is machine-ground on both ends to tolerances within 1 degree and then pressed to solid height and "pre-set" to eliminate any potential for additional set
  • Optimized material thickness and coil spacing to achieve the best possible design for each rate and height of spring in the product line
  • Super-high tensile strength chrome silicon wire for long life and and a consistent rate
  • Springs are cold wound on the latest automated coiling equipment and heat treated twice during manufacturing to withstand the most abusive conditions
  • To enhance durability, AFCOILS are shot-peened and coated with a durable finish
