Currie's Universal Hot Rod Ford 9" kit includes a brand new 56" housing, lifetime warranty 31 spline axles, new axle bearings and seals, and new style big Ford ends.
NOTE: All Ford 9" full spools use overhaul kit 9190950-31, even if they are a 28-spline spool.The 9190950-31 contains the large I.D. standard O.D. carrier bearings and pinion bearings needed for use with our full spools.
We found a limited supply of new small yokes for the 9" Ford. They accept the 1310 series U-joints (1-1/16" caps x 3-7/32"). Fits standard 28 spline pinion gear.
These 9" Ford rear axle pinion seals are good to over 400 F. Stock rubber seal starts to deteriorate at about 250 F.
Kit Contains: nine pinion retainer shims consisting of one each .005", .006", .0075", .0082", two .004", and three .0105"; twelve pinion pre-load shims consisting of one each .005", .006", .0075", .0082", .009", .020", .030", two .050", and three .010"; one pinion spacer .375" thick; and one 3/4"-20 Ford pinion nut.

Our economical 9" Ford rear axle housing features a reclaimed center section, new 3" axle tubes, and new-style Ford ends. Total track width is 56" from hub-to-hub. You will need one 26-3/8" long axle and one 28-5/8" long axle.
This handy spanner wrench allows you to properly adjust the side carrier bearings on a 9" Ford rear end. Works with carrier bearing adjuster rings that have perfectly ROUND holes only (as pictured). Will not work on rings with elongated or oval holes.
Lightweight and standard steel Ford 9" full spools are available with 28 or 31 splines. Standard steel spool weighs 8.9 lbs. The lightweight steel spool, is 6 lbs.

Rear Panhard bars are used to control the side-to-side movement of the rear axle. This is necessary when using a parallel 4-bar or hairpin radius rod rear suspension. This unit is threaded on one end for adjustment. It will require that one end be unbolted for length adjustment. Available in plain finish or polished Stainless Steel.
