Speed Demon carburetors require the same fuel pressure limits as the Holley or Edelbrock. If you have a fuel pump that has 6-8 psi pre set then you will be fine but if you have a high pressure and high volume pump over that then you will need to run a regulator to avoid pushing fuel past the needle and seat causing flooding of the engine. Regulator number 42712803 or 91012803 are a couple of examples of regulators and an inline pressure gauge such as number 91011581 or 1822175 can be used to dial in the proper fuel pressure.
