If your transmission has the wires with plug ins that went to the speedometer then it should work. If the transmission wires go to the ECM you may have to use a GPS sender such as 91097710. If it still relied on a cable drive then the Ford pulse generator such as 1825292.

Speedway GPS sender is not compatable with the Stewart Warner speedometers and you will need to use the Classic Instruments Sky Drive number 2751023. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This speedometer requires a pulse signal from an existing sender or use of a pulse generator that installs in place of the speedo cable if so equipped. For mechanical cable equipped vehicles we offer part number 66582623B and if your GM trans already has the internal sender simple wiring hook up is all that is needed. If unsure on hook up we suggest contacting GM for schematic or Stewart Warner direct for assistance.

You inquired about our Speedometer number 66582698 which is our Stewart Warner electronic speedometer. These are programmable and work with most transmissions with the built in pulse sender. You will need to wire it in correctly and if in question you may want to check with Stewart Warner. Once installed it is programmable per your gear ratio and tire diameter.

(Part #2751028)

With only two touches you can quickly and accurately program your speedometer.   Classic Instruments SN74 installs in-line between the transmission pulse signal or ECM speed output and your electronic speedometer.  The SN74 converts all known pulse signals, including pulse sendors that replace mechanical speedo cables on early transmissions, factory VSS (vehicle speed sensor), and the computer (ECM) output signals to 16,000 ppm or 8,000 ppm signals.  It also includes an additional 8,000 ppm output signal for your cruise control.  Real-time calibration feature allows total fine tuning.  The filtered power source eliminates interference.  This compact module works with most all aftermarket electronic speedometers and the module can be mounted anywhere inside your vehicle.
