This kit allowed me to make a great set of headers for my "72 Ranchero that I dropped a 460 into. I had to cut and add some extra bends to them to get around some things but they worked great and beat the price of the only headers pre-built for a Ford car with a 460. The entire kit from Speedway even beat the other guys price for just the head plates! Thanks Speedway!

Nice set for the money

Used this kit to build a set of headers for a 2002 Superduty with 545/c6. Only extra I needed was more straight pipe. Flanges fit nice as well as the collectors.

I used this kit while installing a 460 into my 1980 mercury zephyr. With this kit I was able to build the headers the way I wanted. I was able to achive more engine setback, and more ground clearance. The major drawback to this kit is that the header flanges come unwelded. This means you have to have to cut and fit your tubes to fit in the flange. I will still use this kit on future projects!

This is a universal header kit for the Big Block Ford and is simply up to the customer for layout. Cutting, angling, and merging of the pipes together can offer variations in length from engine out and from engine rearward. Normally designed as a chassis style header in certain applications customers have actually brought the pipes upward instead of down. A visual idea can be obtained by looking at the photo in our catalog shown directly above the various kits listed. This header kit is designed for the 429/460 engines and will work on engines only with that flange requirement as per port size and placement and bolt pattern.

I'm putting a efi 460 BBF into a fox mustang. I need the flanges for a late 88 and up 460 efi motor. Can you supply this kit with those flanges or does it only come with the old stlye header flange. If not do you sell this kit minus the flanges?

Sorry but we only sell this kit with flanges and do not have different style flanges available. This kit comes from Dynatech, call them they may be able to assist you in what you need. 800-848-5850

This kit will work for the Cobra jet heads if they have the big block Ford bolt pattern. They have a dimension of 2.6" from bolt to bolt and a dimension of 4.91" from center of port to center of port. You can check these dimensions to make sure they will work for your application.

The flange is 5/16" thick and the tubes are 18 gauge mild steel which makes them 1/20" thick.

The header kit part # 930FO460 fits 429-460 Fords and is a universal kit designed for the seasoned, hands-on enthusiast. The kit will require some cutting, fitting and welding. I would not recommend this kit for the Fox chassis as it may require some bending to fit.
