I have recieved a lot of comments on the looks of this mirror on my car. I have one mounted on both sides and they look great. Due to the size of the mirror and the type of car they are on, the passenger side is hard to see. But I have no complaints.
Knew going in that I would need to adapt the mounts for fiberglass doors. My way was to make a little (3/8"x7/8") plate from 1/8" flat stock, use the original mounting screw to hold it in the mirror base and drill/tap two 8-32 holes for retaining screws. Used that little plate as a template, drilled two holes and solid as a rock! Looks are great - lots of compliments on the Peeps!!

What is the half round clear plastic piece that comes with the mirror for?

These peep mirrors come with 3 variations of spacers/gaskets to work with a variation of door edge thickness’. Normally not all the pieces will be used but you have the option on the one to use for your application. You may also be interested in the extension number 91050700 for better visibility from your street rod.
