Great product, easy to install adjust an

September 19, 2013
I installed this progressive linkage along with your Offenhauser 3-2 manifold on a 327 Chevy engine. There was no tweeking or bending necessary. This linkage was easy to install, and enough of splined levers, and threaded adjustable rods with lock nuts to make the project easy. Best of all, this linkage doesn't bind when the secondaries are kicked in. The machine work and the chrome work are top notch. This application is mounted on a open hood duce and spent a winter in the snow, and there's no rust!!! If your plan on installing a three duce setup on your rod, then I would highly recommend this linkage, it was a fun project and looks real cool, on the 32. The rod is a daily driver and the linkage is performing great.
Pros:
  • great kit works and looks great
Cons:
  • None
Yes, I recommend this product.

poor instructions

February 20, 2011
OnceI figured out that the instructions were upside down and backwards if using Holley 94's, it all came together. They work great and give me the progressive linkage I wanted. Try setting up 3 Holleys and you'll see what I mean. You may want to rewrite your instructions.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Right Side Linkage I bought an Edelbrock 553 3x2 intake for Ford Y-block at a swap meet (see picture) that I'd like to use on my '55 Mercury. It has three Ford 94's, but no linkage (I do have the bellcrank that came from the factory on Ford 2-bbl manifolds). Note that the linkage would have to mount on the right side (there's no place on the shafts to attach it on the left side). Will your progressive linkage work on the right side of these carbs, along with the bellcrank that was used on 2-bbl Fords of that era? (You night notice from the picture that one of the two bosses on the manifold that mounts the bell crank has been removed sometime in the past...so will have to be repaired.) Thanks.

We apologize but do not have the exact linkage for the carbs that you have. Linkage kits 91011587 and 1356681 are for passenger side mounting. Linkage kit 1356681 is for the passenger side but there is clearance issues with some aftermarket manifolds. These are the two that most likely would be a starting point in making a linkage for your Y block.

Will this linkage work ok with the speedway problem solver linkage kit? I am running three rochester carbs on a small block chevy in my 1952 chevy half ton pickup and have no room for original linkage.

This linkage kit is designed to work on the Ford 94 or Stromberg 97 style carbs. If you drill out the holes for the throttle shafts and some modification it can be made to work on the Rochester style carburetors also. This linkage will also work in conjunction with our problem solver pedal assembly.

I didn't have to modify this linkage what so ever. If memory serves me correctly, the instructions were straight forward and easy to comphend. A little thought has to go into though, otherwise a great project, that will make you proud!

This linkage is designed for use with the Ford/Holley 94 and Stromberg 97’s having throttle shaft diameters of .282. The kit can be modified to work with the 2GC carbs by drilling out the arm mounting holes to .312. The kit has plenty of adjustment to accommodate most carb center to center mounting variances.
