Served my exact purpose

As I do not have a single carb manifold, I use this on dual carb manifold to use only the carb intended for choke and idle speed. Works great. I will also use it to set up the secondary carb without idle and choke.
Yes, I recommend this product.

To save fuel on long trips, I was thinking of blocking off the two outside carbs on my 3x2 manifold on a SBC. Is it ok to do this, or will it make some of the combustion chambers run lean???

Part number 5601097 The majority of the three deuce intakes run progressive linkage and only the center carb is used while running down the road and the second two carbs come in under hard acceleration or high rpm. In that scenario the outside two carbs are not in use while going down the highway and should not decrease fuel mileage. If you have solid linkage and are running all three carbs at the same time with the engine working properly to remove two of the carbs would drastically lean down the engine and could cause excessive exhaust gas temperatures and possible internal damage. We first recommend determining solid or progressive linkage on your carburetors and if progressive and the desire is to remove two of the carbs then the block off plates should work for your application.
