Speedway, period, quit shopping!

October 09, 2016
Speedway all the way. The only to improve things were for me to live next door to the store. That would surely take its toll on the check book though.
Pros:
  • Fantastic
Yes, I recommend this product.

alternator bracket

October 04, 2015
I installed this on my 1982 Firebird (chevy 305 SB). The slot for the bolt to go into the alternator was not wide enough. I had to take a file and remove material in the slot the full length. I have this same bracket on my 1968 Camaro and it works great. Why not make the slot a little wider so it fits late 70 and 80's SBC engines. It seems GM used a slightly larger bolt for the alternator.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Is the pivot point for the bracket the boss just to the left of the heater hose fitting on the water pump ? Will the oil fill tube which points to the passenger side on an early Edelbrock Torker Intake have enough clearance for this bracket. i am using the stock lower bracket from a 1984 Grand Prix which utilizes the three holes on the cylinder head

This bracket is custom application adjusting bracket to use in a stock style such as 91067857 where one hole is on the intake and the other on the water pump boss. With your combination this will still hold true unless your Grand Prix bracket is completely different. It is for the long water pump and should have sufficient clearance for the fill tube on the vintage intake.
