1967 chevy ll, do you have a kit that works with 14” wheels? If I need to change wheels what is a good size to go with? This chevy is 100% original, is it better to leave this way or to go ahead and change some odds and ends in the car? Some things are like putting front disc brakes on it, put headers, high rise manifold, holly carburator, some chrome parts in engine, possibly change up the dash board, and I supose thats about it. What is your opinon on how far to go with doing things to car. 1967 chevy ll , 283 engine, auto ,power steering, matching numbers, 91,000 miles. Very clean car. Thank you for your time. Randy

We apologize but brake kit number 91036267 will not work on 14” drum brake wheels. The early disc brakes on GM that had 14” wheels ran 10 ½ rotors and specific disc brake wheels. Drum brake wheels of the same vintage would not work on the 10 ½ disc brakes. We offer one kit with 10 ½" rotors for your 1967 Chevy II but it also requires the special 2" dropped spindles. 91031957 brake kit, 91034908 for the 2” dropped spindles, and the booster, master, proportioning valve under number 91031978. Sorry we do not offer a 10.5" rotor disc brake kit for stock height spindles.

As with the original first years of the disc brake mid size cars this kit will normally increase track width by 3/8" per side and should work with most 15" wheels.

I have a 67 Nova with 15 inch wheels. I also have fender headers which do not leave room for a power booster. Will this kit work well w/o a booster? Also, I'm thinking about switching out the rear drums as well. Would all four disks work satisfactorily w/o the booster?

Yes this kit will work fine with a manual brake system. Four wheel disc can be done as well. Be sure to use a manual brake pedal assembly since the pedal ratio will be different than a power brake pedal. Also you will want to have no larger than a 1" bore master cylinder for a manual pedal assembly. 7/8" to 1" would be ideal.

The Kit you mention is only offered in the standard height spindle configuration. We apologize, at this time Speedway does not offer a drop spindle disc brake conversion for the 1962-1967 Nova suspension.
