When you put modern disc brakes on the front of your 1958-1964 Chevy full-size car (Bel-Air, Biscayne, Impala), you should update the master cylinder as well. Stock 4-wheel drum master cylinders do not have the capacity to supply the proper amount of pressure for front disc brakes. For best results, we recommend using this simple, bolt-on master cylinder booster kit on all front disc brake conversions.

  • 8" dual diaphragm booster
  • 1" bore master cylinder
  • GM style proportioning/metering combination valve
  • Master cylinder has outlets on both sides for ease of plumbing
  • Includes plugs for unused outlets on opposite side of master cylinder

  • Outlet Fittings:  1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18

Stock 4-wheel drum master cylinders do not have the capacity to supply the proper amount of pressure for disc brakes. For best results, we recommend using this simple, bolt-on master cylinder booster kit on all 4-wheel disc brake conversions or as a power brake upgrade for 4-wheel drum brake applications.

    This bracket makes it easy to convert to power brakes while keeping the master cylinder level. The bracket is designed to work with 1955-64 Chevrolet A Body and B body passenger cars such as the Bel Air, Biscayne, Impala and Caprice. The booster side of this bracket has the common 3-3/8” center to center both vertical and horizontal.  
    • Makes it easy to convert to power brakes

    • Designed to work with 1955-64 Chevrolet A Body and B body cars (Bel Air, Biscayne, Impala, Caprice)
    Note: Depending on the application, this kit, in many cases changes  the mechanical advantage or pedal ratio. With power assist less pedal  pressure is required and to help eliminate some of the pedal travel the  attachment location on the pedal arm may be further from the pivot  point. You will need to have a straight alignment of the rod to the  assembly and also a straight in alignment of the push rod to the  booster.
