Will they pass New York requirements for back up lights? DOT # ? I'm building a car in NY. One requirement is back up lights. I think they need to be DOT certified . Could you recommend something if these are not?

These are LED replacements for the 58-60 cars and designed to go into a regular bezel. The brightness is sufficient for backup light requirements for DOT but the lens is plastic which would not meet their requirements. We apologize that we currently do not have DOT approved back up lights in stock.

I could use the outside dimensions. They would be adapted to a 1959 Edsel Wagon. any specifications you could provide would be appreciated.

The manufacturers cost is over double on the clear LED compared to the red and does have more light output.
