What's in the Box

Info

Chrome steel oil pan for 1955-79 small block Chevy with drivers side dipstick. Pan depth is 7". Center-to-center of the rear bolt holes is 5-13/16".

Note:  These oil pans use the 1975-85 w/ thick front seal oil pan gasket set, similar to our 910-10220 that has the thick front seal.  The 1974-earlier used the thin front seal.

Even with the tick one peice blue pan gasket and after cleanining the chromed gasket surface the oil pan still leaked. It was like the front sealing surface under the timming chain seal was stamped just a little bit to large. I will now have to drain and replace the oil, and drop the pan to fill in the extra gap with a lot of silicone or buy a new pan. I am very disappointed with the oil pan. I wish that it had been made the correct size to begin with.
Pros:
  • it is very shiny
Cons:
  • dissatisfied
  • double the work
  • disappointed
  • wish i had an oil pan that fit correctly
  • the front sealing surface is to large
  • will require alot of silicone
  • leaks even with alot of cleaning
No, I would not recommend this product.
