What's in the Box

Included in this kit is a new 500 series power steering box, new centerlink, new pitman and idler arm. Modification of the original steering column is required. Use 910-32460 (1955-56) or 910-32462 (1957) to convert the stock column for use with this kit. This is a straight bolt-on conversion when using our Ididit columns. 

The top splines on the steering box are 3/4"-30.

1955-56 Chevy Power Steering Column Conversion
                        

This kit allows you to run your original automatic column with a GM 500, 600, or 605 series conversion power steering box. Features an improved shift lever design and added clearance at the firewall

Includes new tube, shaft, and floor plate. Accepts 3/4" DD rag joint.

1957 Chevy Power Steering Column Conversion
                        

This kit allows you to run your original automatic column with a GM 500, 600, or 605 series conversion power steering box. Features an improved shift lever design and added clearance at the firewall.

Includes new tube, shaft, and floor plate. Accepts 3/4" DD rag joint.

This column is 3 1/2" shorter than stock. The overall housing length from the top of the turn signal housing down to the end of the column housing is 29-1/8".

Note: GM columns measure slightly less than 1" while IDIDIT and Flaming River columns measure a true 1".  DO NOT interchange these u-joints.

1955-64 Chevy Power Steering Hose Kit
                        

Rubber power steering hose kit for 500, 600, & 605 series power steering boxes. Our power steering hose assemblies are an inexpensive alternative to the more costly stainless steel braided hose kits. Return hose will normally need to be cut to length.
