Highly recommended.

April 28, 2014
Speedway had the crossmember in stock and it was quickly delivered. It was used to install a 1955 Dodge V-8 (mated to a 700R4) into a 1953 F-100. The crossmember is of heavy steel construction and powder-coated in black. The installation is intuitive and quite easy.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Added transmission support for 1961 F100

May 19, 2012
I needed the added clearance that this crossmember added, it also reduced the movement of the transmission as it is more ridged than most of the other crossmembers.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Improves trans stability
  • Durable
  • Provides Smooth Shifting
  • Easy To Install
Yes, I recommend this product.

I wouldn't know why that would not work. As long as the transmission has a mount on the tailshaft housing, I think it would work for just about any application. You may have to drill the crossmember in order to line up the holes for the top-loader mount.

The mount number 7204136 is for the 53-64 Ford pickups when using automatic transmissions but could also be used for standard transmissions as long as the downward angle thru the rear of the transmission is correct and matches with the pinion angle and does not intersect each other causing vibration. Location front to rear is up to installer and working with the 2 ¾” drop via spacers as needed for correct mounting height.

I have an 8ba 276 stoker flathead and a c4 trans will this work in a1950 f1 ford pickup. Will it be at the right height or drop and can it be adjusted. Or do you have something other that will work better. frame is stock and body.

This crossmember works on most brake applications but there are variables such as engine and transmission used and location of the transmission mount cushion in regards to the master cylinder and booster also used. A single diaphragm is shorter for example that a dual diaphragm.
