This pedal kit for the 53 to 56 could be altered to work in a 48 to 52. The arm for the pedal can be heated and bent to desired rest location as well. Or you could order a complete universal kit under number 9106005 that comes with a booster and master cylinder.

Will this pedal work with a C6 transmission? I have a 1953 F00 with a 390 and a C6. I purchased this pedal and installed it but now the booster will hit the crossmember for the trans. I dont know of any other crosmembers to use, and the factory pedal was removed before I purchased this truck.

The Ford Pickup pedal assembly for frame mount number 91031972 works with most engine and transmission combinations. The C6 is overall length of 33 ½ versus 30 19/32 for the C4. The mounting location to the cross member is 22 3/8” from the front of the transmission versus 20 ½ for the C4. So, depending on where the engine is mounted which determines the location for the transmission cross member indicates that you should actually have plenty of room for the booster suggested for the pedal assembly. The booster and master cylinder commonly used with the pedal assembly is number 91031411 which measures 13” from mount at the pedal to end of master cylinder. You may want to check your master and booster length or possibly plate the cross member to allow sliding it back and redrilling the mount holes in the new plate. One cross member Speedway offers may be of interest under number 7204136.

Brake pedal kit number 91031972 is a conversion pedal kit and the arm will not replace the original arm. This kit is meant to be used on hot rod applications where the truck has an automatic transmission. It will NOT work in conjunction with the factory clutch pedal assembly.

Yes, the 7" single booster(90031409) or the 7" dual booster assembly(91031411) will fit this 1953-56 Ford pickup frame mount brake pedal. The factory clutch pedal arrangement will not work with this brake pedal, it is intended to work with automatic transmissions only

We only offer that pedal assembly for a left hand drive truck. It might be possible for you to rework the pedal to work in a right hand drive truck depending on your fabrication skills.

Adjustable Proportioning Blocks With Brake Light Switch
(Part #91031358)

This adjustable proportioning block allows you to run lines from the master cylinder to the block and then to the appropriate wheels. What is neat about it is that it also contains the proportioning valve and brake light switch. This dramatically reduces the amount of fittings needed and potential leaks.

The adjustable proportioning valve regulates rear brake pressure, helping to maintain correct brake bias between front and rear brakes. It is designed for dual bowl master cylinders. The distribution block connects to the master cylinder and distributes brake fluid to all four wheels. An easy to turn handle with directional arrows makes it simple to either increase or decrease rear brake pressure.

The block accepts 3/16" brake lines and the inlets and outlets on this unit are 3/8"-24 inverted flare females.  It has two inlets from the master cylinder, two outlets to the front brakes and one outlet to the rear brakes.  It includes five stainless steel 3/16" fittings and wiring pigtail for rear brake light switch. Mounts to any convenient location. This is not a direct factory replacement for original blocks. Some line modifications may be necessary.
